CHAPTER NINETEEN

Things are crazy around here. Eden, the new bartender, has been attacked on the club property, the parking area is club property, and that won’t cut it for any of us. The interviews for the mechanic positions were canceled as no-one was available to help Joe with them and he couldn’t spare the time as he’s run off his feet with work. I’m waiting to hear if we got the location we want for the Bespoke business.

I enter the common room and see Target just coming in the front door. He heads straight for Axel’s office, giving me a head nod as he passes.

Entering the kitchen, I grab a coffee from the pot, and turn to watch Meat who is busy creating something damn good if the last meals he made are anything to go by.

“What are you making tonight, Meat?” I ask as I drink my coffee.

“Chili and cornbread, crackers and tortillas.” All said with his head down.

“That sounds great. I’ll make sure I’m here. Do you need any help as I’ve got an hour before I’ve got to head out?” Turning, he gives me a look I cannot read, then turns back to what he’s making without saying a word.

Shrugging my shoulders, I finish my coffee and head out to the common room. I want to find Mia and see if she’s heard anything yet, and before I can go further, talk of the devil and she appears with her cellphone stuck to her ear and a grin forming on her face. She points at me, then beckons me over with her finger.

I follow her through to TwoCents’ office where I hear her say she’ll have someone make contact in a short while. Then she cuts the call, places her cellphone in her pocket and throws herself at me, hugging me, much to my surprise and TwoCents’ amusement.

“We got it Fox, we got it, the pissant backed down. I got the place for thirty percent cheaper than the fucker was asking for.” And she breaks down into uncontrollable laughter, which has both me and TwoCents laughing too, until Axel walks in, growls at me to get off his fucking woman and snatches her away from me.

“It’s okay Axel. I hugged him, not the other way around.” Mia tells him, sensing he didn’t like the thought of me hugging her. I’m just holding my hands in the air, showing him that I did nothing at all.

“So, what’s going on here?” Axel asks and sets Mia off, laughing again. She jumps up and wraps her arms around his neck, legs around his waist and kisses him before she shouts. “We got the place! RBMC Bespoke Furnishings is off the ground.”

That’s when it hits me. She really did it, she got it and a good cut off it too. We’re in business and now some hard work starts.

“I told Amelia that you’d contact her to pay for the place TwoCents and now it’s up to all of you guys to work out how you’re going to set it up.
